Deliciously Diabetes and Disability Friendly Online Cooking
May 3 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Preparing and eating healthy, delicious-tasting and looking meals can be expensive and intimidating. For those of us with disabling conditions and illnesses, including diabetes, it can be even more difficult.
WILC/PILS’s Food Insecurity Prevention Program (FIPP) along with our Diabetes Prevention Program are offering people with disabilities four live, online cooking classes and $150.00 gift cards to purchase the ingredients and equipment to make them along with us!
Our first cooking class will be on Weds, May 3, 2021 from 12:30 – 2:30pm.
To whet your appetite, here’s what we’re cooking for our first meal and what we’re using to cook it:
- Vegan Lentil Barley Stew]
Refined-Sugar-Free, Gluten-free, and Vegan Peanut Butter Brownies
Electric pressure cooker such as an Instant Pot
For more information contact the organizer listed below.
Once you are registered we’ll be in touch and send you the FIPP Gift Card to purchase the list of ingredients and supplies that you don’t already have.
